.....Here you'll find some great links to the websites that I have found to be productive in my research. If you have favorite links that you would like to see listed here send them to Harry Gibson and I'll get them included.

Family Finder Index

.....Type a name in the Name field below and then click Search Now. When the Search Expert is finished searching, it will return you to the FamilyFinder Index page, and each matching name will have a magnifying glass to the left it. If they are on a CD that we own I will look them up and and try to verify them so we can add them to our Tree. Use your browsers Back button to return here.

RootsWeb

.....This site is by far the most comprehensive collection of genealogical resources. It includes among others, links to Cyndi Howells' Comprehensive List of Genealogical Websites which is in and of itself a veritable goldmine for searching but be prepared to spend some time here, it includes over 28,000 links. There is also a link to the USGenWeb Archives another one of my favorites.

The following table will take you directly to the individual state pages of the USGenWeb.

Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California
Colorado Connecticut Delaware District of Columbia Florida
Georgia Hawaii Idaho Illinois Indiana
Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maine
Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Mississippi
Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire
New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina North Dakota
Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island
South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah
Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin
Wyoming

Genserv

.....I have found tons of useful information using the Genserv site. It takes a little getting used to because it uses your email to relay information. One example of what I have found here is the descendants of my g-great-grandmothers sister. A cousin that I didn't know from this line had submitted his gedcom to this site so I was able to add an entire branch to our tree. I have made up template files for accessing this site through your email program which makes it much easier.
